Diagnostics for Intermittent Issues

Service Description

The initial visit will be billed as electrical/ engine diagnostics. If the issue cannot be reproduced and definitively diagnosed at the initial visit, the procedure below is followed: 1) A thorough inspection and cleaning of related wiring and connectors. 2) Replacement of low-cost components is recommended (i.e. relays and fuses). NOTE: All parts will be invoiced separately. 3) If the problem persists after the initial visit, we will change the bill to 'Diagnostic for Intermittent Issues' during the second visit. The initial cost will be considered a deposit toward this invoice. 4) We use customized test equipment that will narrow down the fault at its next occurrence. 5) Up to three follow-up visits for the same issue are included in this price during a 30-day period. With this time-tested strategy, we avoid recommending the replacement of high-dollar parts without confirming the diagnostic.


Cancellation Policy

BOOKINGS Cancellation of a booking at least 24 hours before the appointment will be fully refunded. If you would like to reschedule an appointment you can do so on the website or contact us at james@fieldmousemechanix.com. PARTS Parts sold through Fieldmouse Mechanix will be backed by the manufacturer or vendor's warranty. Fieldmouse Mechanix offers no additional warranty on parts. If a customer chooses to purchase their own parts for installation, no warranty support will be provided. LABOR Fieldmouse Mechanix offers a 3 month/ 3000-mile warranty on labor (whichever comes first). If a customer chooses to provide their own parts for installation, no warranty will be provided for labor. If a discount of more than 10% is given, no warranty will be provided for labor.
